In order to contribute to Spain’s COP24 strategy on raising climate ambition, Ecopreneurs for the Climate we are facilitating a hands-on UNFCCC Talanoa Dialogue among key stakeholders of the Spanish sustainable economy within the framework of the European Ideas Lab, held by the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament and the European Green Party, together with EQUO, Fundación EQUO and Iniciativa per Catalunya Verds (ICV). The workshop will take place on friday september 7, at 10:00 am, at La Casa Encendida, in Madrid.
We will first share stories, ideas and information on climate solutions that have or haven’t worked so far, both at the national and city level. Secondly, we will outline a common roadmap moving forward to substantially and swiftly raise climate ambition (SDG #13), grounded in each others’ contributions and expressed in the form of policy recommendations and a joint white paper. And lastly, we’ll cross-pollinate our respective projects and initiatives, by exploring partnership opportunities, in the spirit of SDG #17.
Participants will include local political leaders from Madrid’s city council (EQUO, the Spanish green party), civil society organizations (Fundación Renovables), associations of green SMEs (SANNAS.eu), and climate advocacy groups (The Climate Reality Project Spain).
